Ariel A. Javier is an Attorney and CPA with The Waage Law Firm, A Professional Corporation. Mr. Javier is a licensed as an attorney by the State Bar of California and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of California. Mr. Javier is licensed to practice before the State of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Mr. Javier graduated from San Diego State University in 1996. Shortly after graduation, he accepted a position in the Business Trust Accounting Department at Union Bank of California. While there, he reviewed and prepared employee benefit trust statements for over five hundred trust accounts, totaling in excess of one billion dollars. While at Union Bank of California, Mr. Javier passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination.
Thereafter, Mr. Javier began working at a local CPA firm in order to fulfill the experience requirements necessary for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant. During his five years at the CPA firm, Mr. Javier laid the foundation for what would become an extensive accounting and tax background. Mr. Javier regularly consulted directly with clients regarding tax and business planning and prepared individual and business tax returns. He also trained clients with the use of various electronic accounting software programs.
In order to enhance his professional experience, Mr. Javier decided to pursue a law degree. Mr. Javier graduated cum laude and received his Juris Doctor from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.
Mr. Javier’s academic achievements include being listed on the honor roll for five semesters. Mr. Javier was a scholarship recipient from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Center for Law, Technology and Communications and was a member of the Tax Law Society for three years. As President of the Tax Law Society, Mr. Javier was responsible for tax preparation services, training, and contact with IRS representatives. Mr. Javier also participated as a volunteer mediator for the small claims court at the South Bay Regional Center in Chula Vista, where he was able to successfully resolve several small claims suits.
Mr. Javier has a strong background in estate planning and probate administration, drafting private express trusts and wills. He is also experienced in trust administration.
